Dr. Wacław Kulczykowski is an archaeologist in the Department of Historical Education at the Institute of History of the University of Gdańsk (Poland). His research draws on modern forms and methods of popularizing historical knowledge. Educator, science promoter, member of the Council for the Promotion of Science of the Polish Academy of Sciences, co-creator of scientific computer games "Excavate!" and "Waterworks!" which are based on the results of his scientific research, and the originator and lecturer of the "History & Games" course for students of history. Coordinator of the newly created (2024) field of study: Historical game design.
